Residential Conveyancing Price Information


We understand that buying or selling your home is one of the most stressful life events that you can face, However, in most cases we can fix our conveyancing fees at the outset, which we hope removes any worry about the financial cost that you will have to meet at completion.


Who will have conduct of my matter?


The Partner with ultimate responsibility for work carried out on your matter will be Chris Albon, who is  a Partner and our Head of Conveyancing.


The day to day conduct of your matter will be undertaken by either Chris Albon himself, Phaedra Cassillis (an experienced Legal Executive) or Karen Arscott (a Consultant Solicitor).


How will you calculate your fees?


We base our fee quote on the value of the property and any particular areas of complexity, usually within the ranges set out below:-




£850 - £1,250 + VAT for properties up to £1,000,000.00.


For any property over £1,000,000 then please contact us for a bespoke quote which will typically be 0.4% of the purchase price




£850 - £1,250 + VAT for properties up to £1,000,000.00.


For any property over £1,000,000 then please contact us for a bespoke quote which will typically be 0.25% of the purchase price




£750 - £950 + VAT


Transfer of Equity


£750 - £950 + VAT


VAT is always added to our fees at the applicable rate.


If the matter becomes protracted then we will charge any extra work at our hourly rates (currently Chris Albon £250 + VAT, Phaedra Cassillis £195 + VAT, Karen Arscott - £195 + VAT). However, we will not undertake any extra work before we have discussed the matter with you and received your authority to proceed.


Likely disbursements


Throughout your matter, it may become necessary to incur various expenses (disbursements), for example, Land Registry Fees, Stamp Duty Land Tax, concveyancing search fees, etc. Such costs will vary depending on the purchase/sale price of the property and the location. We will always provide you with an estimate of these at the outset of your matter.
